About Us
Our Staff: Faith, Cathy, and Joel
Moore Studios has received more than 30 awards for exceptional photography. We continue to strive to improve the level of creativity that we provide to our clients.
About the Photographer
Joel Moore grew up working in his parent's photography studio in Leeds, Alabama. He graduated in 1981 from the Southeast School of Photography.
Joel moved to Auburn in 1988 where he continued his career in professional photography as the photographer for Auburn University. In 1989 he opened Moore Studios, photographing weddings and children's portraits. In 1994, Joel's work with Moore Studios had grown to the point that he left his position as photographer for Auburn University to pursue his business with Moore Studios full time. In 1996 Moore Studios relocated to a larger and more convenient location on East University Drive in Auburn.
Joel is a member of several professional organizations including the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association, the Professional Photographers of Mississippi-Alabama, and Senior Photographers International. He served as President of the Professional Photographers of Mississippi-Alabama in 2001. He received the prestigous PPA National Award in 1997.
